In Islam, Inheritance subject is one of the most important subjects which has special position in Islamic Jurisprudence. The subject talks about the wealth left behind by the deceased person and how it is distributed.
In short, it answers the questions of who gets and what. In addition, it is a subject that shows clear evidence that the prophet Muhammad is a prophet sent by Allah Almighty. Imagine someone who has never attended any schooling but knows about one of the most difficult subjects which is a math. Showing the importance of the subject of inheritance Allah talked about the inheritance in details in the Quran, the chapter of Nisa (women), verse 7
The prophet Muhammad (PBUH) used to highly respect one of his companions, Zayd Ibnu Thabit, because he memorized all rules of Islamic inheritance. He was the best reference of the science of inheritance whenever there was a difficult issue of inheritance.
